A saddle bag is made especially for the men, to be worn either over their shoulder or on the animal’s back. This flowery design was traditionally a wedding gift from the bride.
For the Spring Summer 2011 we have designed some bags with these flowers, an unique hand-weaving technique called Tauledda.

This saddle bag belongs to our family, and was given to my great-grand father as a wedding gift. Woven by my great-grand mother before the wedding.

Hand-washing....in Biddanoa

In the photo is the public laundry washbasin, most commonly called as Bidda Noa, close to the village where I was born. I remember as a boy coming here with my mum, she washed everything that could not fit in the washing machine. Also, once a month, the local council allows people to wash the wools in the basin, wool locks are washed and then sundried. The fields around become white, it looked like it had snowed in the middle of the summer. The wool comes from local organically raised sheep, exactly what we use for the weaving of the fabrics for the handbags.
